Author Jane Cable reviewed The Sweetheart Locket (along with The Postcard from Italy by Angela Petch) for Frost Magazine, calling them ‘two stunning World War Two dual timeline romances.’

Of The Sweetheart Locket, she said: ‘I love Jen Gilroy’s contemporary romances but this is her first foray into a dual timeline and I enjoyed it just as much.’
